I left the Army chaplaincy in 2015, completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Tampa, with a dual emphasis in Fiction and Nonfiction, and then was asked to help develop a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.
Now that the BFA is up and running, my wife and I are traveling much of this summer. Then in August, I’ll start writing full-time, working on completing a couple of books, writing a weekly devotional article, blogging, plus an occasional freelance article. I still speak at churches, schools, colleges, marriage seminars, and writing conferences.
I tend to write about biblical themes and discipleship, marriage and family, interracial issues, and a wide range of topics that interest me. Occasionally, I partner with others to help them get their message published. After a month-long Route 66 road trip, I might try to publish a few articles or a book about that experience.
I love sports, music, movies & plays, and reading. I really like people, spending time with family & friends, and riding this Silver Wing.
